My email is being used to send out SPAM

I got a call from my ISP a few years back and they told me that my machine at home was sending thousands of spam. They walked me through a anti- virus program over the phone and it stopped.

When I got a call from them I was very shocked that it was so bad that they had to notify me and track it down.

I had the same problem. I couldn't get my antivirus to do anything, so I deleted all my contacts from the account. I haven't had any further complaints since then, but whenever I check my spam folder there's usually a message or two from myself.

That link I posted also said I will have to contact my ISP (Internet Service Provider). Any idea how I do that. My (MAIN) email is sending out thousands as well. It's driving me fucking nuts because I am getting vulgar messages in return from people (rightfully so).

I'll see if that might help.

Scott.

Just contact the people that you have the account with. Certainly they have people in technical support.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Don't complain - this is how Capitalism works; maximum output for minimum outlay.
Just shut up and live with it, because Capitalism is good.
Or do you think there's something wrong with the american way?

I've had that, messages advertising medical products for sale were sent to everyone in my contacts list, extremely embarassing as my Dr and business suppliers were on that list. I sent emails apologising to all of them and changed my password, one of my business suppliers replied saying no problem and also that I should start my contacts list with a number (not name) as that can help stop the virus, don't know if anyone else has heard of this? I've also wittled down my contacts list to about 10, the ones I only need to use frequently, the rest I'll just type in as and when needed.

Penis enlargement pills, anyone?

I imagine some fat, pimple-faced wanker out there somewhere who's never had a girlfriend, has Star Wars underwear and thinks a weekend of Call of Duty playing is socializing is laughing his bitch ass off somewhere about this shit?

I find his ass and it's Louisville slugger time, straight up.

I just went through my "contacts" and there were hundreds in there. I basically deleted almost all of them, save for my family, friends, and the other important ones. We shall see if this works.
